The Showa 878 is an extra-thick, unsupported butyl rubber glove designed for superior protection against highly corrosive acids, ketones, and esters. Butyl rubber provides the highest permeation resistance to gases and water vapours of any material used in glove manufacturing.
The smooth surface grip delivers excellent tactility and performance, while the unlined construction and rolled cuff ensure a comfortable, secure fit. The glove is 0.70 mm thick and 350 mm in length.
Certified to Category III, the Showa 878 meets EN 388:2016+A1:2018 (2110X) for mechanical protection, EN ISO 374-1:2016+A1:2018 Type A for chemical permeation resistance (tested against chemicals ABCIKLMNPST), and EN ISO 374-5:2016 for virus protection.
