The Chemdefend 255 is a disposable protective coverall designed for comfort and reliable protection in demanding environments. It provides Type 5 protection against airborne solid particles (EN ISO 13982-1) and Type 6 protection against light liquid chemical sprays (EN 13034). The coverall also meets EN 1073-2 for protection against radioactive particulate contamination and EN 1149-5 for electrostatic dissipative (antistatic) properties.
Constructed from a microporous polyethylene laminate bonded to a spunbonded polypropylene structural layer, the front of the coverall delivers excellent barrier and liquid repellency. The back panel is made from breathable antistatic SMMS fabric, which helps reduce heat stress by allowing heat and sweat to escape—making it ideal for use in warmer working conditions.
The garment features bound sealed seams for maximum strength and improved liquid and particle barrier performance. All elastication is fully enclosed to enhance comfort and minimise linting. The generous cut across the underarms, chest, and waist allows unrestricted freedom of movement. Suitable applications include pharmaceutical handling, paint spraying, agriculture, veterinary services, and general cleaning operations.
