Chemdefend 310 Y/005 Type 3+4 AST

The Chemdefend 310 Y/005 is a disposable chemical protection coverall designed for applications involving high-pressure hazards from inorganic chemicals and biological or infective agents. It features a 3-piece hood, thumb loops, elasticated wrists, waist and ankles, and a 2-way front zipper with an enlarged re-sealable storm flap. A wide protective zip flap with an integrated chin flap maximises coverage and ease of donning.

The garment is constructed from a nonwoven composite comprising a polyethylene barrier layer combined with a meltblown polypropylene film, bonded onto a structural spunbonded polypropylene base layer. This construction delivers an excellent barrier to liquids under high pressure while providing good comfort, strength and durability. All seams are internally stitched and overtaped, giving the seams the same chemical permeation barrier as the fabric itself. Elastication is fully bound and enclosed to reduce thread shedding and potential contamination.

Certified to Type 3 (EN 14605) for protection against strong directional jets of hazardous liquid chemicals, Type 4 (EN 14605) for protection against saturation from hazardous liquid chemicals, Type 5 (EN ISO 13982-1) for dry particle protection, and Type 6 (EN 13034) for limited protection against light liquid spray. Additional certifications include EN 1073-2 for radioactive particulate contamination, EN 1149-5 for antistatic properties, EN 14126 for infective agents and biological hazards, and ISO 27065 C3 for pesticide protection. Suitable for industrial cleaning, general sanitation, sewage and biohazards, and petrochemical applications.
