Spasciani H 900 ABEK CO P Escape Hood

The Spasciani H 900 ABEK CO P is an escape hood designed for self-rescue, allowing the wearer to evacuate safely from polluted areas in the event of fire. The device is equipped with a multi-gas filter that protects against acrolein, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen cyanide, carbon monoxide, dusts, fumes and mists, and provides additional protection against ABEK type gases (organic vapours, inorganic gases, acid gases, ammonia and derivatives) tested according to DIN 58647-7:1997.

The respirator is housed in a compact, lightweight antistatic PVC bag with belt loops, a wall-mount ring and side rings for shoulder carry, enabling it to be worn comfortably throughout a full shift for rapid deployment in an emergency. The hood is made from PVC-coated cotton with a PU collar and an anti-fog treated polycarbonate visor, while the half-mask is silicone for a secure fit. The filter housing is polypropylene and contains activated carbon, catalyst and filter paper media.

The H 900 is classified as a filtering smoke hood CO P type, class 15 minutes, M type, in accordance with EN 403:2004 and Regulation (EU) 2016/425. It is also certified as non-electrical equipment under the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU (II 1G Ex h IIC T6 Ga / II 1D Ex h IIIC T85°C), making it suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres in the surface industry (Zone 0 gas / Zone 20 dust). The respirator is designed for single use only. It must not be used in environments with oxygen concentration below 17%, or against organic vapours with a boiling point below 65°C or nitrogen oxides. Approximate weight is 550 g (750 g with container), with container dimensions of 130 x 120 x 300 mm. Shelf life is five years from production when stored between -20°C and +50°C at RH <80%.
