The 3M 4251+ is a maintenance-free reusable half face mask from the 3M 4000+ Series, designed for comfortable and effective protection against organic vapours (with good warning properties and boiling point > 65 °C) and hazardous particles. The integrated FFA1P2 R D filters provide protection up to 10 times the exposure limit or 1000 ppm (whichever is lower) for organic vapours, and 10 times the exposure limit for particles.
The mask features a lightweight, balanced design with a centrally positioned exhalation valve that reduces exhalation resistance and helps limit heat and moisture buildup in hot and humid conditions. The soft, close-fitting face seal is made from textured, hypoallergenic, silicone-free material. An adjustable head harness and easy-to-attach neck straps ensure a secure fit across a range of face shapes and sizes. The low-profile design does not obstruct peripheral vision, and the two large bonded carbon filters offer low breathing resistance.
The 3M 4000+ Series masks are ready to use with no assembly, maintenance, or traceability required. They are supplied in a resealable bag for hygienic storage and transport. The mask body is made from thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and the filter connection is permanent. These masks meet the performance requirements of European standard EN 405:2001+A1:2009 for combined filtering half masks for particles, vapours, and gases.
