The Uvex 1 85428 S1 is a lightweight safety sandal designed for indoor and light-duty applications. It features a metal-free protective toe cap and a dual-density polyurethane sole with a shock-absorbing midsole, providing comfort and stability throughout the workday. The PU outsole is antistatic, short-term heat-resistant up to 120°C, oil- and fuel-resistant (FO), and offers excellent slip resistance (SR).
The upper is made from breathable microvelour and is suitable for people with chrome allergies. A textile distance mesh lining ensures a comfortable foot climate, while the open upper construction enhances breathability. The sandal features hook-and-loop fastening, a foamed PU heel basket for additional stability, and soft padding on the collar. Sizes 35–40 are produced using a women's last for an improved fit.
The removable comfortable innersole and insole board are made wholly or partly from recycled materials. The shoe is 100% vegan, metal-free, and ESD-certified according to EN 61340-4-3 and EN 61340-5-1. It is also certified under the uvex medicare+ programme for orthopaedic innersoles and shoe adjustments in accordance with DGUV 112-191.
