The Uvex 1 x-tended support 85162 is a S3-certified safety shoe built to DIN EN ISO 20345:2022+A1:2024. It features a dual-density polyurethane sole with a shock-absorbing PU midsole, offering excellent slip resistance (SR), oil and fuel resistance (FO), and short-term heat resistance up to 120°C. The outsole is antistatic and free of silicones, plasticisers and other substances that interfere with wetting agents.
The upper is made from breathable microvelour with clima zone technology and is water-repellent (WPA), making it suitable for people with chrome allergies. The textile distance mesh lining ensures a comfortable foot climate, while the foamed heel basket provides additional stability. Sizes 35–40 are produced using a women's last for an improved fit. The shoe features elastic laces, soft collar padding, a dust tongue and a removable comfortable innersole.
Protective features include a metal-free protective toe cap, metal-free textile penetration resistance and a PU scuffcap (SC) for additional upper protection. The shoe is ESD-certified according to EN 61340-4-3 and EN 61340-5-1, 100% vegan, and certified under the uvex medicare+ programme for orthopaedic innersoles and shoe adjustments in accordance with DGUV 112-191.
