Uvex 1 S2 85448 Safety Shoe

The Uvex 1 S2 85448 is a lightweight safety shoe designed for indoor and light-duty applications. It features a dual-density polyurethane sole with a shock-absorbing PU midsole, offering excellent slip resistance (SR) and resistance to oil and fuel (FO). The outsole is antistatic and short-term heat-resistant up to 120°C, and is free of silicones, plasticisers and other substances that interfere with wetting agents.

The upper is made from breathable microvelour with clima zone technology and is water-repellent (WPA), making it suitable for people with chrome allergies. The textile distance mesh lining ensures a comfortable foot climate, while the foamed PU heel basket provides additional stability. Sizes 35–40 are produced using a women's last for an improved fit. The shoe is fastened with elastic laces and features soft padding on the collar for added comfort.

The Uvex 1 S2 85448 is certified to DIN EN ISO 20345:2022+A1:2024 S2 FO SR. It includes a metal-free protective toe cap, is ESD-certified according to EN 61340-4-3 and EN 61340-5-1, and is 100% vegan. It is also certified under the uvex medicare+ programme for orthopaedic innersoles and shoe adjustments in accordance with DGUV 112-191. The insole board and removable innersole are made partly or wholly from recycled materials.
