The 3M Peltor X4P3 is a helmet-mounted earmuff from the Peltor X Series, designed to protect against medium to high noise levels in industrial environments. It features a slim, lightweight design weighing just 236 g and delivers an SNR of 32 dB (APVf values: H=36, M=30, L=21), providing strong attenuation especially at higher frequencies.
The earmuff attaches directly to a broad range of industrial safety helmets without the need for an adapter. The cups are made from rigid ABS/TPU plastic for impact resistance, lined with PU foam, and fitted with soft, wide PU/PVC cushions that reduce pressure around the ears and improve wearing comfort. An innovative sealing ring and spacer design enhances acoustic protection, particularly against low-frequency noise.
The X4P3 is type-approved under European Regulation (EU) 2016/425 and tested to EN 352-3:2002 for helmet-mounted hearing protectors. It is also available in a hi-viz colour for easy identification of the protection level. Replaceable cushions and inserts are available as hygiene kits to extend product life.
