The Climax 5-RG is an industrial safety helmet designed to provide optimal impact protection against falling objects such as stones, roofing tiles, bricks and other items of comparable weight. It also protects against electrical discharges up to 1000 V AC or 1500 V DC. The helmet is rated for use in temperatures from -20 °C to +50 °C.
The shell is made of high-density injected polyethylene with a smooth surface, twin longitudinal ribs and a solid triangular-cross-section rib for added rigidity. It features a central visor and a water rim around the perimeter. The interior has six harness attachment points.
The six-point harness is made of injected linear polyethylene with high impact absorption capacity. It includes a head strap with a fabric sweatband at the front, a neck strap, and six buffering straps. Height adjustment is provided in three positions via a toothed-wheel (ratchet) mechanism and an adjustable head harness. The helmet weighs approximately 0.322 kg.
Certified to EN 397:2012+A1:2012 and EN 50365:2002 under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, with notified body number 0161.
