The Climax 5-RS safety helmet is designed and manufactured to provide optimal impact protection from objects such as stones, roofing tiles, bricks and other items of similar weight, as well as protection against electrical discharges up to 1000 V AC or 1500 V DC.
The helmet shell is made of high-density injected polyethylene with a smooth surface, twin ribs along the length and a solid triangular-section rib for greater rigidity. It features a visor in the centre and a water rim around the remaining perimeter. The interior has six housings for harness attachment.
The harness is made of injected linear polyethylene with high impact absorption capacity. It includes a head strap with a fabric sweat band at the front, a neck strap and six buffering straps. The height can be adjusted in two or three positions. The helmet is rated for use in temperatures from -20 °C to +50 °C and weighs approximately 318–325 g. It is CE certified to EN 397:2012+A1:2012 and EN 50365:2002 under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, with notified body Nº0161.
