The JSP Hardcap Aerolite® 60° is an ultra-lightweight bump cap weighing less than 135g, designed by JSP's in-house Research and Development team. It features a tough HDPE shell and a lightweight EPP impact liner beneath a sleek textile cover, providing protection against minor impacts in accordance with EN 812. The shell is recyclable and the product carries the BSI Kitemark.
The 2.5cm micro peak offers improved upward visibility compared to the standard 50mm peak. Large open weave panels in the cover allow airflow to reduce heat build-up during extended wear. The cover is removable and machine washable at up to 60°C. The sweatband and replaceable comfort padding are treated with Polygiene® anti-bacterial coating to reduce skin irritation, odours and wash cycles.
The cap fits head sizes 53–64cm via a slip ratchet adjustment. An optional 2-point chinstrap (EN 397 & EN 812 compliant) is available. Reflective areas are not available on the 60° model. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +50°C, with impact resistance of 12 Joules x 4.
