The JSP HardCap A1+ is a low-profile bump cap designed to exceed EN 812:2012 standards. Its sleek design is almost indistinguishable from a standard baseball cap, while providing impact protection from above and the sides through a removable castellated protective liner. The liner is fully removable, allowing the outer cap to be machine washed at up to 40°C for hygiene and extended product life.
The cap features a unique one-handed angled adjuster that fits under the occipital bone, providing a secure and comfortable fit for head sizes 53–64cm. A terry towelling sweatband adds comfort and moisture absorption. Ventilation is provided through extra holes in the liner and two mesh panels on the outer shell, keeping the wearer cool. Subtle reflective piping on all colour-ways adds visibility in low-light environments.
Constructed with an HDPE shell, the HardCap A1+ offers impact resistance of 12 × 4 joules and side impact resistance of 12 joules. It is suitable for use in temperatures from -10°C to +50°C, weighs 198g, and carries the BSI Kitemark. The shell is recyclable.
