The JSP Hardcap Aerolite® 60° is an ultra-lightweight bump cap weighing less than 135 g, designed by JSP's in-house Research and Development team. It features a full HDPE shell with a lightweight EPP impact liner, providing reliable protection against minor bumps and impacts in accordance with EN 812. The 2.5 cm micro peak offers improved upward visibility compared to longer peak versions.
The cap is equipped with large open weave ventilation panels that allow cool air to circulate, significantly reducing heat build-up during extended wear. The removable cover and comfort pad are machine washable at up to 60°C, supporting good hygiene and extending product life. The sweatband and padding are treated with Polygiene® anti-bacterial coating, which helps reduce skin irritation, odours and wash cycles.
Additional features include a replaceable comfort pad for improved fit, moisture-wicking sweatband, and an optional 2-point chinstrap (EN 397 & EN 812 compliant). The shell is recyclable and the product carries the BSI Kitemark. Suitable for head sizes 53–64 cm, with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +50°C and impact resistance of 12 Joules x 4.
