The JSP Hardcap Aerolite is the lightest full-shell bump cap on the market, weighing just 127 g. A direct evolution of the popular Hardcap A1+, it delivers complete protection in its category by meeting the requirements of EN 812, with impact resistance of 12 Joules x 4. The recyclable HDPE shell is paired with a lightweight EPP impact liner, designed for flexibility and wearer comfort.
The cover features large open-weave ventilation panels that allow easy airflow, reducing heat build-up during extended wear. Reflective areas on the side panels and reflective piping around the 2.5cm micro peak improve visibility in low-light conditions. The shorter 2.5cm peak provides improved vision when looking upward compared to the standard 5cm option.
The removable cover is machine washable at up to 30°C. The sweatband and replaceable padding are treated with Polygiene® anti-bacterial coating, which reduces skin irritation, odours and wash cycles while prolonging fabric life. The slip ratchet adjustment fits head sizes 53–64 cm, and an optional 2-point chinstrap (EN 397 & EN 812 compliant) is available. The product carries the BSI Kitemark and is suitable for use in temperatures from -40°C to +50°C.
