The JSP Hardcap Aerolite is the lightest full-shell bump cap on the market, weighing just 127 g. A direct evolution of the popular HardCap A1+, it delivers complete protection in its category by meeting the requirements of EN 812. The cap withstands impacts of 12 Joules x 4 and is rated for use in temperatures from -40°C to +50°C.
Underneath the sleek textile cover sits a tough HDPE shell and a lightweight EPP impact liner, designed for flexibility and wearer comfort. Large open weave panels in the cover allow easy airflow, reducing heat build-up during extended wear. The 2.5 cm micro peak provides improved upward visibility compared to the longer 5 cm option.
Reflective areas on the side panels and reflective piping around the peak improve visibility in low-light conditions. The removable cover is machine washable at up to 30°C, and the sweatband and padding are treated with Polygiene® anti-bacterial coating to reduce skin irritation, odours and wash cycles. Replaceable padding ensures a comfortable, secure fit across the 53–64 cm size range. An optional 2-point chinstrap (EN 397 and EN 812 compliant) is available. The product carries the BSI Kitemark.
