The JSP Hardcap Aerolite is the lightest full-shell bump cap on the market, weighing just 127 g. A direct evolution of the popular Hardcap A1+, it delivers complete protection in its category by meeting the requirements of EN 812 for bump cap impact resistance (12 Joules x 4).
Underneath the sleek textile cover sits a tough HDPE shell and a lightweight EPP impact liner, designed for flexibility and wearer comfort. The 2.5 cm micro peak provides improved upward visibility compared to the standard 5 cm option. Large open weave panels in the cover allow easy airflow, reducing heat build-up during extended wear. Reflective areas on the side panels and reflective piping around the peak improve visibility in low-light conditions.
The cover is removable and machine washable at up to 30°C. The sweatband and replaceable padding are treated with Polygiene® anti-bacterial coating, which reduces skin irritation, odours and wash cycles. The cap features a slip ratchet fit adjustment for head sizes 53–64 cm and carries the BSI Kitemark. An optional 2-point chinstrap (EN 397 & EN 812 compliant) is available.
