The Climax 5-RG is a safety helmet designed and manufactured to provide optimal impact protection from falling objects such as stones, roofing tiles, bricks and other items of similar weight. It also protects against electrical discharges up to 1000V AC or 1500V DC.
The helmet shell is made of high-density injected polyethylene with a smooth surface, twin ribs along the length and a solid triangular-section rib for added rigidity. It features a visor at the front and a water rim around the remaining perimeter. The interior has six housings to attach the harness.
The harness is made of injected linear polyethylene with high impact absorption capacity. It includes a head strap with a fabric sweat band at the front, a neck strap and six buffering straps. Height adjustment is possible in three positions via a toothed wheel and adjustable head harness. The helmet is rated for use in temperatures from -20 °C to +50 °C and weighs approximately 0.322 kg. It is CE certified to EN 397:2012+A1:2012 and EN 50365:2002 under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, with notified body Nº0161.
