The Mapa Ultranitril 492 is a chemical protective glove made from nitrile, designed for frequent contact with an average wear duration. It provides Type A chemical protection with permeation resistance to six specific chemicals: methanol (A), n-heptane (J), sodium hydroxide 40% (K), ammonia 25% (O), hydrogen peroxide 30% (P), and formaldehyde 37% (T), certified to EN ISO 374-1. The glove also offers protection against bacteria, fungi, and viruses in accordance with EN ISO 374-5, and protection against diluted and concentrated pesticides per ISO 18889 Category 3.
Mechanical protection is rated EN 388 3101X, delivering excellent abrasion and puncture resistance for extended service life. The glove features an anatomical cut with a flocked interior for comfort and dexterity, and a textured exterior for improved grip. It has a straight cuff, measures 32 cm in length with a thickness of 0.38 mm, and is available in sizes 6 to 11.
Typical applications include work with oils, solvents, detergents, coatings, PVC-based sealants, pesticide preparation and application, tank filling, and cleaning of process equipment across industries such as automotive, mechanical, construction, agriculture, and municipal services.
