The Mapa Technic 420 is a chemical protection glove designed for frequent contact with chemicals and medium-duration wear. It is certified as Type A under EN ISO 374-1, offering permeation resistance to a range of specific chemicals including methanol (A), sulphuric acid (L), nitric acid 65% (M), acetic acid 99% (N), hydrofluoric acid 40% (S), and formaldehyde 37% (T). It also provides protection against bacteria and moulds in accordance with EN ISO 374-5, Category 3.
The glove is constructed from neoprene and natural latex, combining flexibility and comfort. The interior is flocked for added comfort, while the exterior features a textured profile that ensures good grip on smooth objects. It has a straight cuff, a length of 32 cm, and a thickness of 0.75 mm. Dexterity is rated 5/5 under EN 420.
Mechanical protection performance is rated EN 388: 2121X (abrasion 2, cut 1, tear 2, puncture 1, ISO 13997 cut resistance not tested). The glove is suitable for use in the automotive and mechanical industry, chemical industry, and other sectors for tasks such as handling, loading and unloading chemical products, industrial cleaning and maintenance, preparation of industrial adhesives, spreading of fertilizers, and production of electric accumulators and batteries.
