The Climax model 37 Semi energy absorber is an essential component of a safe fall arrest system when used with a compatible safety harness. It is designed to protect the user during activities such as scaffolding installation, where the Y-shaped securing strap keeps the worker anchored to the structure at all times. The unit features a built-in energy absorption strap and an 11 mm Class A semistatic polyamide rope lanyard, eliminating the need for a separate anchorage connector.
The assembly includes two steel directional connectors with automatic threaded locking: one model 32 connector with an 18 mm opening and one model 31 connector with a 51 mm opening, suitable for connection to larger diameter structures. Both connectors have a minimum breaking load of 23 kN. The total length of the equipment, including lanyard and connectors, is 1.75 m, and it weighs 1.174 kg.
The Climax 37 Semi is certified to EN 355:2002 and complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/425, with CE certification issued by notified body No. 1019. The theoretical service life is 15 years from the date of manufacture for equipment with textile or plastic components.
