The Climax 32-A energy absorber is designed to be used together with a safety harness as part of a complete fall arrest system. It is particularly suited for work at height such as scaffolding installation, where the user is secured to the structure via a connector and rope lanyard.
The absorber consists of a white absorption strap made from two pieces of interwoven textile fabric, folded and enclosed in a textile bag with a velcro closure. The ends feature sewn loops protected by transparent plastic covers. The unit has a total length of 35 cm and weighs 0.234 kg.
The 32-A is certified to EN 355:2002 and complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/425, with CE certification issued by control body No. 1019. The theoretical service life is 15 years from the date of manufacture. The maximum permissible length of the energy absorber including lanyard and connectors must not exceed 2 m.
