The Climax 30M is a retractable type fall arrester designed for vertical and horizontal use. It features an automatic inertia-activated braking system that locks in the event of a fall, allowing the user to move freely within a wide working area while remaining protected against falls from height. It is suitable for use on roofs, slopes, and in confined spaces.
The device consists of a Climax 30 symmetrical connector with manual threaded locking (16 mm opening) for anchoring, an ABS housing, an energy absorber, a nylon damping ball with carbon steel spring endpoint, and a 4.8 mm diameter galvanised stainless steel cable with a length of 30 metres. The user-end connector is a steel swivel hook with an automatic locking system and a 19 mm opening.
The Climax 30M is approved for use over sharp edges (Type A, r > 0.5 mm) and in horizontal plane applications. It supports a maximum working load of 120 kg and weighs 14.35 kg. The device is certified to EN 360:2002 and RFU CNB/P/11.060 under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, with notified body number 0598.
