The Climax OTTO is a guided type fall arrester designed for work at height. It allows the user to move vertically along a rope without needing to manually adjust its position, and locks automatically in the event of a fall. The device can be fitted at any point on the rope for flexible use.
Constructed with an aluminium body and blocker, plus a steel slide, the OTTO is lightweight at 0.485 kg. It is designed for use with an 11 mm semi-static rope (EN 1891 type A) and includes a 19 mm polyamide ribbon to aid user movement. The device is not suitable for users weighing more than 100 kg.
The OTTO is CE certified to EN 353-2:2002 under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, with control body number 1019. The estimated service life is 10 years from the date of manufacture and 5 years from first use.
