The Climax Roc is a guided type fall arrester designed for use on vertical rope systems. It can be fitted to the rope at any point and operated hands-free when travelling up or down, making it suitable for work positioning and fall arrest applications. The device locks automatically in the event of a fall and is also suitable for self-rescue techniques.
Constructed from aluminium with an anodised finish, the unit weighs 168 g. It is compatible with semi-static ropes from 10.5 mm to 12.7 mm diameter, including 11 mm rope approved to EN 353-2. The thumbcatch can be fixed in any position for user convenience. Its design allows use without a separate shock absorber and can also function as a length regulator on a work positioning lanyard.
The Climax Roc is CE certified to EN 353-2, EN 358 and EN 12841-A, with a break load of 1500 kg. It is manufactured in Spain by Productos Climax.
