The Climax Horizontal Life Line Complet is a temporary horizontal lifeline system designed to provide fall protection for up to two users simultaneously. It must be used in combination with a fall arrest harness and an energy absorber or retractable device to dissipate the energy generated during a fall. The system allows greater freedom of movement along the line without the need to change the anchoring point, making it ideal for occasional work on roofs, terraces, gantry bridges and similar structures.
The lifeline is made of 35 mm wide orange polyester tape with a total length of 20 m. It must always be installed between two anchoring points capable of withstanding at least 15 kN static resistance and positioned at the same height. The system features a static traction resistance greater than 15 kN, a static breakage resistance greater than 50 kN, and a dynamic performance of less than 6 kN (recorded during free fall with a 100 kg mass).
The complete kit includes: two Climax KH-Giro swivel connectors (MBL 20 kN, 19 mm gate opening) to prevent tape twisting; two installation anchoring rings (1 m length, 22 kN load capacity); a ratchet tensioning element with double safety locking system; and a PVC storage bag to protect the ratchet and store excess tape. The total weight of the equipment is 3.146 kg. The theoretical service life is 10 years from the date of manufacture and 5 years from first use. The product is CE certified according to Regulation (EU) 2016/425 and complies with EN 795:2012 + CEN/TS 16415:2013.
