The Climax 35 SEMI is a Y-shaped energy absorber with an integrated anchoring strap, designed to be used together with a safety harness as part of a fall arrest system. It is particularly suited for work at height during scaffolding installation, where the Y-shaped design allows the user to remain secured to the structure at all times.
The unit includes a tear-webbing energy absorption element and a Y-shaped lanyard made from two 11 mm Class A polyamide semi-static ropes. It is supplied with two Climax model 31 steel directional connectors (54 mm opening, 22 kN MBL) for attachment to large-diameter structures, and one Climax model 32 steel directional connector (18 mm opening, 22 kN MBL) for anchoring. Both connector types feature an automatic threaded locking system.
The product is certified to EN 355:2002 and is suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX). Total length is 1.75 m and weight is 1.75 kg. The theoretical service life is 10 years from the date of manufacture and 5 years from first use.
