The Climax 21-C ATEX is a full body fall arrest harness designed for work at height in potentially explosive atmospheres. It provides protection against static electricity in accordance with PN-E-05201:1992 and PN-E-05204:1994, and is suitable for use in ATEX zones 1, 2, 20, 21, and 22 in the presence of flammable media with a minimum ignition energy (MIE) greater than 0.1 mJ. It is safe for use in environments containing methane and coal dust, including underground mining conditions.
The harness features two fall arrest anchoring points: a dorsal attachment (A) and a chest attachment (A/2), both fitted on 8 mm steel D-buckles. Rapid-action buckles allow easy adjustment of the entire harness assembly. It includes two material-holding rings and a buckle for attaching a work positioning belt. The webbing is made from 45 mm polyester treated with Pyrovatex® flame retardant.
Certified to EN 361:2002 under EU Regulation 2016/425 (notified body 1019), the harness covers gas groups IIA through IIC and has a theoretical service life of 15 years from the date of manufacture. Approximate weight is 1,298 g.
