The Uvex astrospec 9164187 is an updated version of the popular Uvex astrospec safety spectacle, featuring a panoramic lens with integrated side protectors for full eye area coverage. The multi-level side arm inclination allows the wearer to adjust the fit to their individual face shape, while the uvex ventilation system with labyrinth seal ensures comfortable airflow and reduced fogging.
The frame combines a PC+TPU front piece with POM side pieces and PC+TPU/TPE temples, finished in a black and grey colour scheme. The soft, non-slip sidearm ends — made using uvex duo component technology — help prevent pressure points during extended wear. The flat-fold design allows the spectacles to be easily stored in a breast pocket.
The 2.2 mm polycarbonate lens features uvex supravision plus coating for anti-fog and scratch resistance, with UV 400 protection. The clear lens (filter marking 2C-1.2 per EN 170) is rated optical class 1 and provides low-energy impact resistance (F, 45 m/s) with resistance to high-speed particles at extreme temperatures (T). The lens also offers surface resistance to fine particles (K) and anti-fog properties (N). The spectacles weigh 37 g and are suitable for oil and gas applications. Certified to DIN EN 166 and DIN EN 170, PPE Category II.
