The 3M™ Safety Over Spectacles 2800 are designed to be worn over most prescription spectacles, providing excellent coverage and a wide field of vision combined with a high level of impact protection. The optical class 1 polycarbonate lens offers good colour recognition and UV protection in accordance with EN 170:2002, and features a scratch-resistant coating for added durability.
The spectacles feature pantoscopic adjustment (tilt of the lens frame) and adjustable temple arm length with four fixed positions, allowing the fit to be adapted to facial features and the position of the prescription eyewear underneath. The low-profile, soft temple arms minimise interaction with prescription glasses, while the tilting lens allows easy adjustment for maximum comfort. Temple tips include eyelets for easy attachment of a lanyard.
These over-spectacles are intended for protection against high-speed particles at low energy (F) at extreme temperature conditions (-5 °C to +55 °C) (T) in accordance with EN 166:2001. They are type examined by BSI Group (Notified Body 2797) and CE marked to European Regulation (EU) 2016/425. Typical applications include general assembly, construction, light duty maintenance and repair, engineering, woodworking, foundry work, and certain welding applications.
