The 3M™ Face Shield 5H is a transparent polycarbonate visor from the 3M 5-series range. Certified to EN 166:2001, it provides protection against low-energy high-speed particle impact (45 m/s), marked as class F, as well as protection against UV and infrared (heat) radiation, secondary welding glare, liquid splashes and molten metal splashes. The visor meets optical class 1 and has a curved surface.
The 5H face shield is designed for use with 3M™ G3000-series and G3501-series safety helmets using the 3M™ FH1 face shield mounting system, as well as 3M™ SecureFit™ X5000-series and X5500-series safety helmets with the FH1 or U5B mounting system. It is also compatible with 3M™ G500 or H8 headsets. The visor features a click function for quick and easy attachment to the holder. All 5-series face shields are compatible with the integrated safety spectacles in the 3M™ V9 safety helmet and a wide range of 3M™ PELTOR™ hearing protectors and communication headsets.
The visor has a total height of 190 mm and is made of clear polycarbonate with no additional coating.
