Chemdefend 310Y/055 Type 3+4 AST

The Chemdefend 310Y/055 is a disposable chemical-resistant coverall from the ChemDefend® 310 series, engineered for applications involving high-pressure inorganic chemical hazards and biological or infective agents. Constructed from a nonwoven composite with a polyethylene barrier layer bonded to meltblown and spunbonded polypropylene, the fabric delivers a high level of permeation resistance while maintaining comfort, strength and durability at 70 gsm.

The 055 model features a 3-piece hood, internal and external zips with two separate zip flaps sealed at the base, double cuffs with integrated thumb loops, reinforced knees and crotch, and fully enclosed elastication. The ergonomic fit allows generous freedom of movement in the underarms, chest and waist. Seams are internally stitched and overtaped so that the seam barrier matches the fabric barrier. The garment is antistatic and available in yellow for high visibility.

Certified to Type 3 (EN 14605+A1:2009) and Type 4 (EN 14605+A1:2009) for protection against strong directional liquid jets and liquid saturation respectively, the 310Y/055 also meets Type 5 (EN ISO 13982-1:2004+A1:2010) for dry particle protection, Type 6 (EN 13034:2005+A1:2009) for light liquid spray, EN 1073-2:2003 for radioactive particulate contamination, EN 1149-5:2008 for electrostatic dissipative properties, EN 14126:2003 for infective agents and biological hazards, and ISO 27065:2017+A1:2019 C3 level for pesticide protection. The model passes EN ISO 17491-3:2008 Type 3 Jet Spray and EN ISO 17491-4:2008 Type 4 Saturation Spray tests without taping the zip flap.
