Asbestos masks and PPE for asbestos work

Looking for a suitable asbestos mask for professional asbestos work? Here you will find powered full-face respirators with P3 filtration, compatible replacement P3 filters and protective coveralls. For simple work, a powered full-face respirator with P3 filtration is the starting point unless the risk assessment supports another appropriate protection level.

Important for safe use

Match the protection to the risk assessment, permitted work method, wearer and environment. Use only complete manufacturer-approved combinations. Applicable training, medical fitness and prescribed maintenance remain necessary.

Tight-fitting masks require a quantitative fit test when the mask is selected and annually thereafter. Perform a fit check before every use. Facial hair or stubble in the sealing area prevents a reliable fit.

European and national legislation

Directive 2009/148/EC, as amended by Directive (EU) 2023/2668, provides the European minimum framework for protecting workers against asbestos exposure. Specific duties, permitted work methods, training and notification procedures are determined nationally and may be stricter or additional in each country. Always check the current legislation in the country where the work will take place.
