The Ansell AlphaTec 87-118 is a heavy-duty industrial glove made from 0.8 mm / 31 mil thick natural rubber latex, designed to provide high durability, abrasion resistance, and enhanced protection against water-based chemicals. It is suitable for demanding applications in the chemical, metal production, machinery, and automotive after-sales sectors.
The glove features a beaded cuff for easy donning and doffing, helping to prevent liquid from running down the arm and improving wrist protection. A diamond-shaped grip pattern delivers a secure hold for confident handling of wet or dry objects. The interior is lined with 100% cotton flock, which absorbs perspiration and enhances wearer comfort during extended use.
The AlphaTec 87-118 is certified to EN ISO 374-1:2016 (Type A, permeation resistance – AKLNPT) and EN ISO 374-5:2016 (protection against micro-organisms), as well as EN 388:2016 +A1:2018 (3111A – mechanical protection). It meets EN ISO 21420:2020 for general glove requirements and has an AQL of 1.5. The glove is 300 mm / 11.8 in length, unlined in construction, and chlorinated for easier donning.
