The Climax Lanyard Kit 39 SEMI is an anchoring lanyard designed for use as part of a fall protection system. It can serve as a retaining/securing device or, when combined with an energy absorber or retractable fall-arrest device, as a component of a fall-arrest system.
The lanyard is constructed from 11 mm diameter class A semi-static polyamide rope with high tensile strength. Both ends are fitted with a red polyamide thimble to protect the rope from friction caused by the connectors, and the rope includes a red wear indicator. The kit includes one model 30 symmetrical connector with manual threaded lock (16 mm opening, MBL 22 kN) and one model 31 directional steel connector with automatic locking system (54 mm opening, MBL 22 kN), suitable for connection to large-diameter structures.
The lanyard has a minimum breaking load of 2200 kg and weighs 0.810 kg. It is CE certified to EN 354:2010, with a theoretical service life of 10 years from the date of manufacture and 5 years from first use.
