The JSP HardCap™ A1+ is a sleek, low-profile bump cap designed to exceed EN 812:2012. Its HDPE shell and castellated protective liner provide impact protection from the sides and from above, while remaining virtually indistinguishable from a standard baseball cap.
A unique one-handed angled adjuster fits comfortably under the occipital bone, allowing one size to fit head circumferences from 53 to 64 cm. The removable liner enables the outer cap to be machine washed at up to 40 °C for improved hygiene and a longer service life. A terrytowelling sweatband adds comfort, and subtle reflective piping improves visibility.
Ventilation holes in the liner and two mesh panels in the outer cap provide airflow for coolness and comfort. The cap features a 5 cm peak, withstands impacts of 12 × 4 Joules and side impacts of 12 Joules, and is rated for use from -40 °C to +50 °C. The product weighs 185 g, carries the BSI Kitemark, and the shell is recyclable.
