The JSP EVO 8 Mid Peak Wheel Ratchet Non Vented safety helmet is designed for the highest risk environments where high impact and side impact situations are a concern, including construction, mining, tunnelling, demolition, oil and gas, offshore marine, refinery and petrochemical, high pressure jetting and certain emergency services. It was the first industrial hard hat in the world to meet and exceed the EN 14052 head protection standard.
The helmet features a shock-absorbing EPS liner that provides protection against side, front and rear impacts. The liner is vented to increase comfort while maintaining a high protection factor. The HDPE shell offers impact resistance of 100 J and side impact resistance of 50 J. It also provides electrical insulation up to 440V (EN 50365) and meets ANSI Electrical Class E requirements. The helmet is rated for use in temperatures from -40°C to +50°C and offers optional resistance to molten metals and hot solids.
A comfortable textile webbing harness moulds to the wearer's head with unique 1-2-3 point depth settings for a precise fit. The intuitive wheel ratchet adjustment system covers a size range of 53–64 cm for true 'One Size Fits All' convenience. A universal accessories slot enables firm fitting of Surefit™ safety visors and ear defenders. The helmet weighs 597 g, carries the BSI Kitemark, and is recyclable. Optional 2-point and 4-point chinstraps are available.
