The JSP AMD170 VistaShield is a vented safety helmet with a fully retractable integrated faceshield, built on proven Evolution® head protection technology. The optical class 1 faceshield provides A-rated high-energy impact protection (6 mm, 0.86 g ball at 685 kph) and is K-rated anti-scratch and N-rated anti-mist, with UV protection to EN 170 (lens marking 2C-1.2 1AT KN CE). The faceshield is interchangeable and can be swapped for a VISTAlens® overspec for medium-energy impact protection.
Head protection conforms to EN 397 and EN 50365, with additional testing for lateral deformation, molten metal splash, and performance at -40 °C. EN 50365 certification provides electrical insulation protection up to AC 1000 V or DC 1500 V. The integrated safety cell prevents ricocheting debris from reaching the scalp and stops the faceshield from contacting the head under impact.
The helmet features the Revolution® Flex wheel ratchet harness with a 3D-profile flexible strap and extended nape section for a secure, pressure-free fit. It is fully compatible with prescription eyewear worn underneath the faceshield and designed to integrate with JSP above-the-neck PPE such as the Force®8 half mask and Sonis® ear defenders. Optional dual-vented shell increases airflow, reducing helmet temperature by 2–3 °C on average.
