The Climax 436-V face shield is designed to provide effective protection against radiation emitted by oxyacetylene and oxy-fuel welding and cutting processes. In addition to absorbing harmful radiation, the shield offers impact protection against particles projected at approximately 5.1 m/s.
The visor is made of 1.5 mm thick polycarbonate with non-fogging treatment on both sides, offering filtering action against welding radiation. It features protection grade 5 and optical class 1, with dimensions of 389 x 201 x 1.5 mm. The special design minimises restriction of the lateral vision angle and allows perfect adaptation to different user physiognomies. Optical neutrality enables prolonged use without discomfort.
The harness is made of injected linear polyethylene with high impact absorption capacity, comprising a headband, neck strap and six-arm crown. The front of the headband is covered with a textile sweat band. The neck strap features a size adjustment mechanism via a polyamide wheel with attached padding. The wearing height can be adjusted across three positions. The headband fits head circumferences from 54 cm to 61 cm. The complete assembly weighs 0.764 kg.
The face shield is intended for use with the Climax 5-RG helmet shell, which is manufactured from high-density injected polyethylene and offers electrical protection class 0, 1000 V AC. The product conforms to EN 166, EN 169, EN 175, EN 397 and EN 50365.
