The JSP EVO® VISTAlens® Dualswitch™ AMF270 is a vented industrial climbing helmet with integrated retractable overspec, fully certified to both EN 12492 and EN 397. A simple switch on the chinstrap allows the user to change between the two standards: switch down for EN 12492 (chinstrap release force >500 N to prevent loss during a fall) and switch up for EN 397 (release force 150–250 N to reduce choking risk). The helmet also complies with EN 50365 for electrical insulation up to 1000 V AC.
Integrated VISTAlens® overspec provides B-rated medium-energy impact protection (tested with a 6 mm steel ball at 270 mph / 430 kph), anti-scratch (K), anti-mist (N) and extreme-temperature impact resistance (−5 °C to +55 °C). The lens marking is 2C-1.2 1BT KN CE, offering UV protection and high optical class 1 quality with no distortion. The overspec is interchangeable and can be swapped for a VISTAshield® faceshield when higher-energy impact protection is required.
The helmet features a Revolution® Flex wheel ratchet harness with 3D depth adjustment and a replaceable Chamlon™ cotton sweatband for maximum comfort. A TPR lens seal moulds to the face for enhanced projectile protection and reduced misting. The 4-point chinstrap is fully adjustable for a secure, stable fit. The shell includes dual ventilation ports to encourage cooling airflow, and attachment points for accessories such as headlamps, goggles and ID card holders. The helmet is compatible with JSP Force®8 half masks, Sonis® ear defenders, EVOGuard® visors and prescription eyewear.
