The JSP HardCap Aerolite is the lightest full shell bump cap on the market, weighing just 127 g. A direct evolution of the popular HardCap A1+, it delivers complete protection in its category by meeting the requirements of EN 812. The cap features a tough HDPE shell and a lightweight EPP impact liner beneath a sleek textile cover, designed for flexibility and wearer comfort.
Large reflective areas on the side panels and reflective piping around the 5 cm peak improve visibility in low-light conditions. The cover includes large open weave panels for airflow, reducing heat build-up during extended wear. Replaceable padding and a moisture-wicking sweatband provide a comfortable, secure fit across head sizes 53–64 cm.
The removable cover is machine washable at up to 30 °C. The sweatband and padding are treated with Polygiene® anti-bacterial coating, reducing skin irritation, odours and wash cycles while prolonging fabric life. A slip ratchet adjustment ensures a secure fit, and an optional 2-point chinstrap (EN 397 & EN 812 compliant) is available. The product carries the BSI Kitemark and operates in temperatures from -40 °C to +50 °C.
